Position summary

Sr. Maintenance Tech is responsible for supporting the facility and manufacturing operations by maintaining, repairing or replacing facility and manufacturing equipment. This position will also provide leadership support for projects and programs such as preventive maintenance, safety committees, and machine and facility upgrades.

Essential Job Functions
•Lead corrective and preventative maintenance of all equipment, grounds and the facility
•Review work orders to determine work priorities
•Anticipate, diagnose, and initiate action to resolve machine malfunctions
•Ensure all equipment is correctly and accurately maintained
•Understand the operating characteristics and maintenance requirements of all manufacturing machinery, equipment, and controls
•Periodically fabricate production equipment and replacement parts
•Recommend and implement new methods and procedures to improve operations
•Negotiate and maintain all outside service contracts
•Coordinate the installation and training of new equipment
•Submit requisitions for required supplies utilizing ERP system
•Monitor department budget and spending
•Maintain proper documentation and record keeping
•Ensure the facility and grounds are maintained
•Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
•Enters production information into the ERP and Preventive Maintenance system on a timely basis
•Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
•Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
•Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
•Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
•Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
•Complete all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)
•Experience in advanced troubleshooting of machinery, electrical and hydraulic problems
•Attention to detail
•Ability to respond to issues on evenings and weekend as appropriate to solve practical problems
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
•Minimum 5 years of experience
•Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
•Mechanical Aptitude
•Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
•Strong problem solving skills
•Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
•Ability to take direction from the area manager
•Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
•Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
•High school diploma or equivalent

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
•Maintenance certification
•2-year technical degree
